Vero Beach, Fla. (April 2025) — Renaissance Senior Living of Vero Beach, a premier assisted living and memory care community, welcomes Peter S. Rost as Executive Director. With over a decade of experience in the senior living industry and 25 years in hotel hospitality, Rost is uniquely qualified to foster a home-like environment suitable for seniors.

Born in Baldwin, NY, Rost attended Hamilton College, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He began his career in hotel hospitality at a historic, boutique property. Rost stayed in the New York area until he moved to Massachusetts in 2015 and joined the senior living industry as Executive Director. He made the move to Florida in 2021 where he continued his career as a senior living Executive Director.

Serving seniors has brought Rost a particular joy as it incorporates his passion for hospitality with a strong sense of purpose. He thrives in creating a place where seniors are not only given the highest level of care but also feel safe, loved and valued.

Rost states, “Ten years ago, I looked to apply my hospitality skills in a new way and discovered a passion for caring for seniors. Every day I delight in hearing the stories of their lives while providing the assistance they need to thrive and be happy. It is so rewarding to be a part of their community!”

“We are very grateful to have someone so uniquely qualified as Peter to join our team at Renaissance. His many years of experience in hospitality, coupled with his love for seniors, make him the perfect fit for Renaissance of Vero Beach. We look forward to seeing him bring out the best in our wonderful community,” says Doug Veazey, COO of Legacy Senior Living.

Rost and his wife, Lisa, live in Sebastian, FL. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, son, and three stepsons. A goal of Rost’s is to read a biography of each US President. He is currently halfway through his goal.
